Dallas Cowboys could be looking for a new center

Tyler Biadasz has struggled at center for the Dallas Cowboys this season and that may have led to them looking for alternative options
It’s no secret that Tyler Biadasz has been the weak point of the Dallas Cowboys offensive line this season. That’s frustrating since they had such high hopes for him going into the 2021 campaign.
In his second season out of Wisconsin, Biadasz has struggled with power rushers including when he was shoved into Dak Prescott by Javon Hargrave of the Eagles, causing a fumble that ended in a Philly touchdown.
Then in the team’s last game against New York, there were a couple of bad snaps that might have the Cowboys coaching staff looking at alternative options. Dallas decided after the issues on Sunday to make the center to quarterback exchange a priority, but the thing that stood out was Connor McGovern getting reps with Cooper Rush.
Dallas Cowboys looking to replace Tyler Biadasz at center?
McGovern is one of two reserves with experience at center, the other being rookie Matt Farinok. However, Farinok has not played in an NFL game whereas McGovern has proven he can hold his own as a professional lineman.
When replacing Zach Martin earlier this season, McGovern did a fantastic job and has even found himself getting work as a fullback. Clearly, Dallas loves his blocking and they’re looking for ways to get him on the field.
Ideally, McGovern would be the man in the middle — since it would give the Cowboys the five best players. Add in the fact that La’el Collins is set to return after this week and it could suddenly be one of the more dominant lines in the NFL.
Of course, all that hinges on the coaching staff being comfortable with McGovern snapping the ball. If they are, it could be a positive change in Big D.
