The Dallas Cowboys continue to beef up their secondary while also adding defensive line help in our latest seven-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft

We’re heading into Week 6 but that doesn’t mean we can’t put at least one eye on the 2022 NFL Draft. This season, the Dallas Cowboys have been getting some solid returns on their rookie class with first-round pic Micah Parsons leading the way.

Also playing well is third-round selection Osa Odighizuwa. Even Jabril Cox has made an early impact when afforded an opportunity to see the field. They have yet to see Kelvin Joseph on the field, which means there’s even more promise for this class.

Here, we look ahead to the 2022 class and predict what Dallas could do with this seven-round mock.

Dallas Cowboys Round 1 Pick: Jordan Battle, S, Alabama

In 2021, the Cowboys finally have some quality safety play. They added Damontae Kazee, Jayron Kearse, and Malik Hooker in the offseason and the return on investment has been solid for them. The only issue is, they were offering one-year contracts to everyone again which means they could be looking to add more help in 2022.

That’s why with this first-round pick, we go with Jordan Battle from Alabama. Battle has the ability to move from free safety to strong safety which makes him a solid fit for this defense – which loves versatility.

He also comes from Alabama and as the Cowboys finally found out from drafting Trevon Diggs, those guys come in ready to perform. And they don’t offer up too many busts.
