Dallas Cowboys Round 2 Pick: Zachary Carter, EDGE, Florida

Randy Gregory has been playing well as he’s been generating pressures at a high rate, even if he’s not generating a ton of sacks. There’s also been some solid pressure from Micah Parsons as the Cowboys have been trying to get things figured out with DeMarcus Lawrence.

As for the future of the EDGE in Big D, Parsons will stay at linebacker and Gregory is actually in the final year of his deal. That means they would be wise to add some depth and a possible replacement should Gregory cash in elsewhere.

That brings us to Zachary Carter, a 6-foot-4, 285-pounder who has five sacks in his first six games this season. He’s been climbing up draft boards and lands in Round 2 here, giving Dallas a player who can eventually become a quality starter for them,

Dallas Cowboys Round 3 Pick: Alec Lindstrom, C, Boston College

Through five games, Tyler Biadasz has struggled to hold things down at center. The second-year player has been pushed around at times and then had some bad snaps in Week 5. The Cowboys pride themselves on their offensive line play which means they’re surely already considering what to do in the middle of the line.

Here, they decide to get someone who can challenge for the job in Alec Lindstrom. The younger brother of Chris Lindstrom, who was a first-round pick in 2019, Alec should have a long and productive career but due to many teams overlooking the center position, he finds himself landing in the third-round which is a steal for Dallas.
