Dallas Cowboys Round 4 Pick: Haskell Garrett, DT, Ohio State

Osa Odighizuwa has been a pleasant surprise this season and should be a long-term starter in the NFL at the three-technique. Dallas could also have something in nose tackle Quinton Bohanna who they took from Kentucky in Round 6. But they still need more depth especially since it seems Trysten Hill might never be one they can count on.

That leads to the selection of Haskell Garrett from Ohio State. Garrett made headlines when he was shot in the face breaking up an altercation and was not only able to return to the field quickly but has become a leader of the Buckeyes. He could be a solid piece in the Dallas defensive line.

Dallas Cowboys Round 4 Pick: Trey McBride, TE, Colorado State

Dalton Schultz has become a star in Dallas. He’s on pace for a monster season as he’s kept the starting job over Blake Jarwin who went down with an ACL tear in Week 1 of the 2020 season. Schultz is likely to be the long-term starter in Big D which means Jarwin could be in danger of not finishing out his three-year extension (especially when they have to pay Schultz).

Even if they do keep him around, the Cowboys need some depth which is why Trey McBride is the pick here. The Colorado State product has had a great season so far in 2021 with 458 yards on 42 receptions in just five games. He could develop into a No. 2 option down the road for Dallas.
