The Dallas Cowboys scored an overtime win in Week 6 over New England and CeeDee Lamb had a career-defining game that included a walk-off touchdown

For the first time since 1996, the Dallas Cowboys beat the New England Patriots. And they did so on the road.

It’s now five wins in a row for Dallas and while they had a lot of issues in this game, they still secured the victory, thanks in large part to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Those two were connecting all game and hit on a 35-yard touchdown in overtime that secured the win.

Here we look at those two and many others in Dallas as we identify the studs and duds from the Cowboys’ Week 6 win.

Dallas Cowboys Stud: Trevon Diggs, Cornerback

Trevon Diggs continues to be a monster in the Cowboys’ secondary. On Sunday, he had his seventh pick of the season and ran it back for a touchdown — which was his second on the year. Diggs now has a pick in six-straight games and continues to be a leader in this secondary.

Unfortunately, he was also on the wrong end of a huge play from New England. Right after he scored, Mac Jones went deep to Kendrick Bourne who beat Diggs deep. Damonatae Kazee then whiffed on the tackle which allowed Bourne to take it to the house. Still, the pick-six helped Dallas secure the win, even if they turned around and gave up more points.

Dallas Cowboys Dud: Mike McCarthy, Head Coach

Mike McCarthy continues to make weird calls, especially on fourth down. This time, he did one early in the game as well as one late and they both could have been really bad.

McCarthy’s first fourth-down call, which was on the opening drive, was bad mainly because the call was so predictable. If you’re going to gamble in your own territory, you need to make sure it’s a play that the defense won’t be expecting — and we all knew they were about to run it right up the gut with Ezekiel Elliott.

As for his other rough fourth-down call, he decided to get conservative late and kick a long field goal on a fourth-and-one. Greg Zuerlein missed it and gave the Pats life.

On top of all that, his team is playing undisciplined. Dallas had 115 yards in penalties and while they got a win, it shouldn’t have been this close. Much of that was due to the penalties.
