Dallas Cowboys. 6. team. 123. . . Previous: 6th

If the Dallas Cowboys could figure out two things, they could be unstoppable. One is how to start quicker.

Week after week, they start out slowly and then turn it on in the second half. That was the case again as they even needed overtime to beat New England this weekend.

The second thing they need to clean up is penalties. Dallas finished with 115 yards taken away due to penalties and that made it much tougher on them than it needed to be.

Even with those shortcomings, they’re 5-1 and have a vastly improved defense as well as a quarterback in Dak Prescott who is playing out of his mind. Dallas now enters their bye week which gives them plenty of time to figure those two issues out.

NFL Power Rankings after Week 6: Top 5

5. team. 51. . . Previous: 5th. Rams

A 38-11 win was not only convincing for the Los Angeles Rams as they made it look easy against the New York Giants, but it also moved them to 5-1 on the season. Following a slow start where the Giants defense was getting after Stafford, the Rams offense figured things out and poured on 28 points in the second quarter.

Stafford finished 22-of-28 with 251 yards and four touchdowns. He continues to play well for the Rams and they look like legit contenders now — especially with their 3-0 record on the road.

Next up for Los Angeles is the Detroit Lions which should be a lot of fun as this high-flying team is set to face off against Stafford’s old club — the same one that can’t buy a win.
