Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

New York Giants. 30. team. 31. . . Previous: 28th

The New York Giants continue to play well early in their games only to completely fall apart afterward. That was the case again in Week 6 as they were up 3-0 on the Los Angeles Rams as they were making it tough on Matthew Stafford.

Then in the second quarter, the Rams scored 28 points on them. Yes, 28.

That opened the floodgates as the Giants fell to 1-5 on the season and 0-3 at home. Daniel Jones was also a mess as he threw three interceptions and was an ugly 29-of-51 on passing attempts. It’s tough to watch and the coaching staff could suddenly start to feel some heat if things don’t vastly improve.

. . Previous: 29th. New York Jets. 29. team. 30

After falling behind 20-3 against the Falcons in London last week, the New York Jets turned it up a notch and made it a game. They got the score to 20-17 in the fourth quarter, but then the Falcons put it away with a long drive. The final score was 27-20 as the Jets scored a field goal but couldn’t recover the onside kick.

At 1-4, they don’t have a lot of hope for the postseason this year but they should be proud of the fight they showed in Week 5. Now, they enter Week 6 on a bye and can spend a little more time refining things in practice. Again, they aren’t likely to make a run but the goal is to build toward the future and they can still do that.
