2021 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 7
Washington Football Team (2-4) at Green Bay Packers (5-1)
Sunday, October 24, 1 PM ET
All year long, the Washington Football Team has been competitive, keeping things interesting despite their ugly 2-4 record. Unfortunately, against the streaking Green Bay Packers, they aren’t going to be able to convert that competitiveness into a quality win.
Washington just doesn’t have enough pieces at this point. Taylor Heinicke is doing his best to keep the offense running, but Antonio Gibson has been injured and inconsistent while the rest of the offense can’t seem to muster enough big plays. As for the D.C. defense, it’s failed miserably to live up to the expectations it carried into the regular season.
As for the Packers, they’re currently enjoying a phenomenal five-game winning streak. After stumbling out of the gates, Green Bay has gotten back on track as Aaron Rodgers is playing like the reigning MVP. He’s getting help from guys like Davante Adams and Aaron Jones, and the Packers defense is doing its best to corral opponents as well.
Washington will again stay within striking distance for much of this game, but their defense won’t make enough stops against Rodgers and Co. to get the win.
Prediction: Packers win 31-23 | Spread: Packers (-9.5)
