3. Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama

One of the major issues on the Giants’ defense resides in their linebacker core. They have guys at the position who maxed out their potential. Coverage is arguably the biggest issue with their linebackers. In the NFC East, having backers who can play downhill and drop in coverage is essential.

The G-Men don’t have a player they can trust in coverage or a leader who’ll command the defense. They need someone in the middle who fits their 3-4 scheme. Alabama linebacker, Henry To’o To’o is the man who’ll command the Giants’ defense.

The Crimson Tide backer is a Gettleman guy. He’s a vocal leader who’ll come in and take over. He understands concepts, where, and when to attack — on all levels. To’o To’o attacks downhill with speed and tenacity despite his 6-2 228-pound frame. He’s not afraid to stick his nose in the run game, and he flows to the ball well.

To’o To’o has good speed and fluidity to drop back in coverage. He understands how to take away seem routes. And he has enough athleticism to match up against backs. He’s a fringe Day 1 prospect, but the Giants should have him on their radar as their top prospect on Day 2. Georgia’s
