Eddie Jackson has a big game

Okay, even Eddie Jackson will say that his Tweet about legendary Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs backfired on him.

Jackson replied to Briggs’ criticism on a poor tackle attempt he made that resulted in a big gain for the Packers on the drive that resulted in a game-sealing touchdown.

Jackson dug up a Tweet from 10 years ago that said Briggs missed the most tackles in a three-year period.

Going after a Bears legend isn’t a good way to endear yourself to the fans, even if the information is right.

What his action after the game did was overshadow the fact that while that one tackle attempt was ugly, he had seven others that were good. Yes, he had a season-high eight tackles in the game. That was behind only the Bears’ tackle machine, Roquan Smith, who had 12.

Instead of trying to throw shade at legends, Jackson needs to step his game up. We know he has the ability to create turnovers, something the Bears need to have so they can win. He can make people forget the missed tackle by returning to the player he once was.

Prediction: Jackson will turn things around and have a big game. He’ll force a fumble and intercept a pass.
