The NFL Trade Deadline is just two weeks away, and the Green Bay Packers are in dire need of depth at key roles on their roster.

The Green Bay Packers have been a team that the NFL looks to as the trade deadline approaches, not because they’re known to make game-changing acquisitions, but rather because they don’t. The Pack are coming off their second-straight NFC Championship appearance, as well as their second-straight 13-3 season under head coach Matt LeFleur. In both of these stellar years for Green Bay, they both ended in heartbreak losses a game shy of an attempt at glory.

There’s new wind in Wisconsin now though, as the uncertainty of legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers returning to the team next year continues to grow. Additionally, the team is expected to lose players in significant roles next year due to salary cap constraints.

As a result, the Green Bay Packers have to go all-in on this season due to the unknown future. This could very well be the last year that the Packers are Super Bowl contenders for several years, so they better make the most out of it.

Green Bay Packers: 3 Players to trade for ahead of deadline

2021 has been bitter-sweet to Green Bay. While they boast a 5-1 record and seem to improve every game, they have lost several key players to injury highlighted by CB Jaire Alexander and LB Za’Darius Smith, whose respective season’s may be in jeopardy of ending on injured reserve.

The team may be cruising now, but this is the longest season in NFL history with an 18-week season being implanted. In order to survive the long list of injured players, the Cheeseheads need to be active ahead of the deadline.

That being said, there are three players that the team can add to provide some much-needed depth at key positions who have the potential to break out if given the opportunity in a new environment.
