Alabama. Jordan Battle. player. 123. Scouting Report. S. Pick Analysis. 27

27. Dallas Cowboys: Jordan Battle, S, Alabama

The Dallas Cowboys finally found a couple of good safeties which has helped their defense tremendously. However, they gave all of them one-year contracts which means they will surely be needing one again in 2022.

Here, they get someone who will be under contract for more than one season — and won’t need three years to develop like the sixth-rounders they keep taking. Their pick is Jordan Battle who might not be a consensus day one pick but he’s still arguably the second-best safety in the class and adding him here gives the Cowboys a starting-caliber player at a position of great need.

It also allows them to control his contract for the next five seasons which they could use at safety.

Jahan Dotson. player. 50. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. WR. 28

28. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

Detroit kicked things off in this 2022 NFL mock draft with Kayvon Thibodeaux who should be an instant impact player on defense. Now back on the clock with the first pick they cash in from the Matthew Stafford trade with Los Angeles they get an immediate impact player on offense in Jahan Dotson.

The Penn State wideout doesn’t have elite size by any means, but he’s a big play waiting to happen. His numbers have gone down this season but he’s a speedy player who can stretch the defense and the Lions need that in the worst way.
