29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

After winning it all in 2020, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look even more dangerous in 2021. Offensively, they’re elite and nearly impossible to stop, which is unsurprising for a team with Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Rob Gronkowski. Having said that, there are some deficiencies on defense including some struggles they have at cornerback.

In an attempt to clean up their coverage issues, the Bucs grab Trent McDuffie from Washington with the 29th pick in this 2022 NFL mock draft. McDuffie plays quickly and has an excellent ability to turn his hips and change directions. He’s never had a problem holding his own against some of the better wideouts in the game and he will have to face many of the best in the NFL playing for a team like Tampa that’s expected to make a deep playoff run into Brady’s 50s.

Northern Iowa. player. 26. OT. Trevor Penning. 30. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

30. Baltimore Ravens: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

Alejandro Villanueva has been filling in at left tackle for the Baltimore Ravens as Ronnie Stanley is still working his way back. On the other side is Patrick Mekari, and while he’s been holding his own, the line isn’t as dominant as it was when Stanley and Orlando Brown were out there.

Here, they look to rebuild their twin towers on the edge of their offensive line with the selection of Trevor Penning from Northern Iowa.

Despite playing for an FCS school, Penning comes into the draft with a lot of potential. At 6-foot-7 and 340-pounds, he’s a huge player who will have no problem taking on power rushers while playing right tackle for the Ravens.
