Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. . Sam Howell. player. North Carolina. 9. 58

9. Washington Football Team: Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina

There was a call for Taylor Heinicke to take over full-time as the quarterback of the Washington Football Team. However, that time feels like an eternity ago as he’s come back down to earth in recent weeks.

Heinicke is a valuable backup and can keep a team treading water but if Washington wants to take their next step as a franchise, they need a starter they can depend on. With the No. 9 pick in this 2022 NFL Draft, they go for that as they take Sam Howell from North Carolina.

Howell is slightly undersized at 6-foot-1 and 220-pounds but he has been solid for the Tar Heels. He’s completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 9,078 yards with 86 touchdowns against 20 picks. He should be able to develop into a player who can take over the job for the foreseeable future in Washington.

Scouting Report. OT. Texas AM. 10. Pick Analysis. Kenyon Green. player. 45

10. Denver Broncos: Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M

Teddy Bridgewater has had his ups and downs already this season but there’s a chance he could still be the starter for the next couple of seasons in Denver. There’s also a chance they can completely blow everything up — we never know.

What we do know is that they can use some help on the offensive line and Kenyon Green will provide that. He’s played both tackle and guard for the Aggies and can do either in the NFL as well.
