FanDuel DFS NFL Week 7 picks and lineup advice: Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes ($8800) is the most expensive quarterback on the slate in a game with the highest over-under that we have seen on the season. Considering this price is even cheaper than he was last week against Washington, I have a hard time not locking Mahomes into many of my lineups.

After cooling off after his insane start to the season, Kyler Murray ($8700) had a great four-touchdown game last week against Cleveland. With their lack of a rush game, he should be able to put up points with ease as 17-point favorites against the Texans.

Lamar Jackson ($8400) is coming off a terrible fantasy performance in a game where they were able to run all over the Chargers but should find himself in a shootout against a weak Cincinnati defense that has yet to face an offense of the Ravens’ caliber.

While I would highly recommend trying to get one of these three quarterbacks into your cash lineups, there are still a few cheaper options that I like as a pivot play in a tournament lineup.

Aaron Rodgers ($7900) has not been a high-volume passer this year but has still thrown two or more touchdown passes in every game since the Week 1 disaster against New Orleans. This is a streak that should continue against a league-worst Washington secondary.

Ryan Tannehill ($7600) has had an awful year for fantasy, only throwing multiple touchdown passes in one game this season. However, his matchup this week against the Chiefs should provide him with an opportunity to steal some of the spotlight from Derrick Henry, considering the Titans will have to be in passing mode to keep up with Mahomes.

If you want a really cheap play, Joe Burrow ($7200) has thrown for at least two touchdowns in every single game and has looked extremely solid with his new weapons around him. While the Ravens are coming off a game where they shut down Justin Herbert, I think Burrow will see the volume and has the talent to do more than enough for your lineup at that cheap salary.
