The Dallas Cowboys owner dropped a hint that they could be active at the trade deadline and these are 3 targets to keep an eye on

Tuesday, Nov. 2 is the 2021 NFL trade deadline and if Jerry Jones’ recent words are any indication, the Dallas Cowboys could be in the market for some upgrades this season.

Jones, who has made it no secret that he wants to get back to the Super Bowl, was recently asked about his team’s plans ahead of the deadline on 105.3 The Fan, and his response was that they’re “open for business year round.”

Of course, with Jerry-talk, things must always be taken with a grain of salt. However, it would make sense for the 5-1 Cowboys to make a move to bolster their roster as they attempt to make a run at the big game.

Here we look at three dream targets for them that could help push Dallas over the top.

Dallas Cowboys trade target No. 3: Marcus Maye, S, New York Jets

This offseason, the Cowboys added several safeties who have been good but not great. Their defense overall has been very opportunistic, led by Trevon Diggs who has seven picks in the first six games. However, there are still some big plays being surrendered and it wouldn’t hurt to add another player capable of delivering some game-changing plays.

Enter Marcus Maye who continues to be one of the best safeties in the NFL. He also continues to be one of the biggest names mentioned in trade talks.

Maye has come out and said he doesn’t want to leave the Jets but the truth is, he would probably be fine heading to a team that is capable of winning much more than he’s used to. Pairing him with Diggs could be exactly what this secondary needs to take their next step.
