Dallas Cowboys trade target No. 2: Bryce Callahan, CB, Denver Broncos

At 3-4, the Denver Broncos season is headed in the wrong direction. Should they continue to lose games, especially against Washington this coming weekend, they might decide to part ways with players on expiring contracts as they prepare for another rebuild.

One such player is Bryce Callahan who has been a solid player over the past two seasons. He’s also entering the last year of his three-year contract that he signed with Denver back in 2019 following four seasons with the Chicago Bears.

Adding Callahan might not solve the No. 2 cornerback situation for Dallas long-term but the 30-year-old veteran would be an instant upgrade across from Trevon Diggs — who has been an NFL Defensive Player of the Year Candidate.

This season has been a quiet one in Denver for Callahan after the team added Patrick Surtain. That’s led to him playing in more of a reserve role, starting just twice in seven games. He still has 18 tackles, four pass defenses, and a sack and for his career, he has183 tackles, six interceptions, 29 pass defenses, and five sacks.

Adding such a player to this defense could be the exact thing needed to make sure they can slow down some of the better offenses in the NFC.
