Titans: 3 dream trade deadline targets to help Super Bowl push
Titans: 3 dream trade deadline targets to help Super Bowl push
1. Xavien Howard, CB, Dolphins
The injury to first-round rookie Caleb Farley left the Titans a little bit thin at the cornerback position.
Farley, who already had dropped in the NFL Draft due to injury history at Virginia Tech, is a tremendous talent but will obviously have to wait to make an impact on this Tennessee team until next season.
For the time being, could we see the Titans go out and make a blockbuster move for someone like Xavien Howard?
Provided the Dolphins don’t use him in a trade for someone like, say, Deshaun Watson, it’s possible.
Howard has requested a trade from the Dolphins this year and while the Dolphins have decided not to oblige up to this point, it’s possible they could change their mind at some point in the near future if the price is right.
First-round picks are not as valuable as people think, but if Howard doesn’t want to be in Miami, they could do worse than a top-32 pick for him.
The Titans on the other hand would obviously be getting a game-changing piece for the secondary who could help them tremendously in the postseason.
