Plays on Monday Night Football vs. New Orleans Saints

It’s been a rough season in 2021 for the Seattle Seahawks and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. They’re currently 2-4 and now have to face the 3-2 New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

As if the Saints weren’t already favored, they also come in nice and rested after having Week 6 off. As for Seattle, they’re again going to be starting Geno Smith as Russell Wilson is still out following surgery on his finger.

Smith has been playing well but there’s no denying that he’s not the same caliber player as Wilson — which is not meant as any disrespect, it’s just that Wilson is one of the best in the business.

Head coach Pete Carroll is saying all the right things about his team and not wanting to throw in the towel. However, it’s a tough road ahead of them without their best player especially since their division is playing as well as they are.

Both the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams are contenders and there’s no way the Seahawks will catch them if they fall much farther under 500 while waiting for Wilson to return.

That makes this game a huge one for Seattle as they try and get back on track.
