Plays on Monday Night Football vs. Seattle Seahawks

A Week 6 bye might have seemed kind of early with 12 games still to play but for the New Orleans Saints, it seemed to come at the perfect time.

Going into the week, they were decimated by injuries but many of them are now getting back to health as reported by Brett Martel of the AP, via ESPN.

"“The Saints went into the bye week with more than a half-dozen starters or prominent regulars injured. This past week, several of them have been designated for return from injured reserve to the active roster. They include starting defensive end Marcus Davenport, who sacked Aaron Rodgers in Week 1 but hasn’t played since because of a pectoral strain. Also back — at least at practice — are starting linebacker Kwon Alexander, starting receiver Tre’Quan Smith and veteran kicker Wil Lutz.” — Martel"

Now at 3-2, the Saints will be back in prime time as they head to Seattle to play the Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Seattle is again entering the game without Russell Wilson who had surgery on his hand.

This means Geno Smith will be the starter as he looks for his first win since 2016. It won’t be easy but the Saints have to stay focused to avoid another letdown as they had in Week 4 against the New York Giants.
