A great start to the season was dampened by a terrible outing in Week 6 for the Los Angeles Chargers. Heading into Baltimore with a record of 4-1, they were completely dismantled by the Ravens by a score of 34-6.

Their defense, which had just given up 42 points the week prior to the Cleveland Browns, was unable to stop anything for the second week in a row. However, unlike their win in Week 5 when they put up 47 on Cleveland, Chargers’ offense was completely inept.

Justin Herbert, who was playing like a league MVP candidate, struggled to move the ball and finished with 195 yards on 22-of-39 passing with a touchdown and a pick. While that was rough, he was actually a bright spot when you consider the ground game put up just 26 yards with 12 of those coming from Herbert.

After their bye week, the Chargers have a good chance of getting things back on track. They face the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers before going against the Cincinnati Bengals.

That means they won’t play against a team with a winning record until Dec. 5. That would give them an excellent shot at putting themselves into an excellent position to make the playoffs. And once there, they could be a dangerous team.
