NFL Power Rankings, Week 8: Bills slide during the BYE

Monday Night Football between the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans was an exciting game with several lead changes. It also came down to the wire as Tennessee took the lead for good with just 3:05 to play.

For Buffalo, it was just their second loss of the season and it ended a four-game winning streak. It also sent them into the bye week with a lot to think about. One main thing is whether or not trying to sneak the ball in on fourth down at the end of the game was the right call. Then again, you have to love the aggressiveness to go for the win instead of the tie.

Even with that resulting in a loss, the Bills are still in control of their division. As it stands now, they’re the only team with a winning record and they’ve been playing lights out on both sides of the ball so far in 2021.

Quarterback Josh Allen continues to make huge strides as the leader of the franchise and has 1,723 yards with a 15-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio after six games. He’s also completing 64.8 percent of his passes, which is lower than 2020 but still above his career average.

Stefon Diggs is also playing well with 463 yards on 37 receptions and defensively, it’s just been a collection of players standing up and making plays for them. That’s a recipe for success in the NFL.
