Denver doesn’t have a ton of weaknesses on their roster. They have a quality defense, have plenty of offensive weapons, and a new QB (in this mock draft), but the one place that they have struggled is along their offensive line. Garett Bolles has been a good but not great left tackle. Meanwhile, every other offensive line position could use some help.

Graham Glasgow and Dalton Risner have seemingly taken some steps back in terms of their development. Sophomore center Llyod Cushenberry has taken some steps forward but still is struggling. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have had a revolving door at the right tackle position that has been continued with the addition of Bobbie Massie.

Abraham Lucas has some of the smoother hands in pass protection as he knows how to time his punches and has hand strength like a vice grip. In general, Lucas is a strong offensive tackle who has a great anchor and overall great play strength. While he is strong, Lucas’s feet are a bit slow and edge rushers can beat him around the outside more than you would like to see.

Lucas could play either tackle or guard for the Denver Broncos and should hopefully be able to help fix one of the Denver Broncos’ problems along the offensive line.
