4. Pick Analysis. Linebacker. Ventrell Miller. Scouting Report. Florida. player. 840

Like the edge position, Denver is sorely lacking depth at linebacker with both of Denver’s starting linebackers, Josey Jewell and Alexander Johnson, suffering injuries, so it wouldn’t hurt Denver to add another linebacker, especially one like Ventrell Miller.

Miller is easily one of the best blitzing linebackers in the SEC and can absolutely smack running backs when he gets a clean hit on them. Miller does need some seasoning as he somewhat struggles in coverage, but with two solid linebackers ahead of him, he would be able to hopefully add some pounds and develop into hopefully a quality linebacker.

Other players considered: Jack Sanborn, Noah Daniels, Jake Venables

Cade Mays. 5. player. Pick Analysis. Guard. Tennesee. 839. Scouting Report

Being that the Denver Broncos’ worst position group right now is likely their offensive line, it wouldn’t hurt to throw some more resources at it. To put it simply, Mays is a very strong human being. Mays comes in at 6’6″ and 325 pounds, and boy does it show up on game day as he destroys defensive lineman.

While Mays is ridiculously strong, he lacks the ability to play in space. He has decent enough quickness, but he still struggles blocking at the 2nd level. Mays would fit into this interior offensive line group perfectly as the likes of Cushenberry and Muti are both maulers just like Mays.

Other players considered: Tre Sterling, Cade Otton, Ali Gaye

817. Pick Analysis. Edge. Ali Gaye. 6. player. Scouting Report. LSU

Gaye is a player that defensive coordinators and coaches will love. Gaye is a long edge rusher standing at 6’6″ and loves to use his length to his advantage, throw in the fact that he loves being aggressive and is always willing to keep playing, and you have an edge rusher coaches will love.

One problem that Gaye faces is that his processing speed is a bit on the slower end of things. His play speed can be hampered by his slower processing speed, but with more reps and work with NFL coaches, he could turn into a quality edge rusher.

Other players considered: Isaac Taylor-Stewart, Trey Dean III, Kolby Harvell-Peel

Running Back. UTSA. player. 2410. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sincere McCormick. 7

One thing that the Denver Broncos have shown this season is that they love running the ball with two running backs. The Broncos drafted Javonte Williams in the 2nd round of the 2021 draft, a reasonably high pick for a running back, but he is still splitting snaps with Melvin Gordon.

Gordon is set to leave Denver very soon, and with his departure, he would leave the backup spot open for another running back to snag.

To put it simply, Sincere McCormick is fast, like really fast. Once McCormick gets into the open field he is hard to take down, not because of his size, but because you won’t be able to catch him. McCormick’s speed will be a great combo with Williams’s tackle-breaking ability.

Other Players Considered: CJ Verdell, Mohamed Ibrahim, Coby Bryant
