Fantasy Football waiver wire, Week 8

Wide Receiver/Tight End

1. Russell Gage, Falcons

Don’t look now, but the Atlanta Falcons are getting kind of hot.

Russell Gage had been out since week 2 but returned this past weekend to catch four out of his six targets for 67 yards and a touchdown. He had 72 receptions and four touchdowns last season, and is clearly a player that is going to be involved in the offensive gameplan for Atlanta with Matt Ryan throwing the passes.

2. Nico Collins, Texans

There are a few reasons you should be motivated to snag Collins off the waiver wire this week.

First of all, Tyrod Taylor could be coming back soon, and that’s an upgrade for Collins’ situation.

Second, there’s a chance Brandin Cooks could be traded to a contender in the coming days, and Collins stands to benefit from that.

He has 11 targets over the last two weeks and could wind up leading the Texans in targets down the stretch.

3. CJ Uzomah, Bengals (TE)

Uzomah took advantage of National Tight Ends Day and caught three passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals’ big win over the Ravens on the road.

That huge performance should get him plenty of attention on the waiver wire this week, but in PPR formats, Uzomah has been productive anyway.

He has five touchdowns in the last four games, and even though he’s not getting a ton of targets, that could change with his recent run of productivity and big plays.

Other options (if available)

Mo Alie-Cox, Colts (TE)
