3 Evan Engram landing spots at the 2021 NFL trade deadline

2. Tennessee Titans

In a recent post regarding the Tennessee Titans and the trade deadline, I speculated that they could make a move for Atlanta Falcons tight end Hayden Hurst to boost their chances at a Super Bowl run in 2021.

Evan Engram might be an even better option.

The Titans said goodbye in 2021 free agency to tight end Jonnu Smith, who had become a key piece of their passing attack.

Of course, they made a bold trade for Julio Jones to add to the wide receiver position, but that was not exactly a  one-for-one swap.

Although Smith is not a dynamic wide receiver, he had eight touchdown catches for the Titans last season and turned that into a big-money free agent deal with the New England Patriots.

The Titans have not yet come close to replacing Smith’s production in their offense at the tight end position, and a player like Evan Engram could really help boost their Super Bowl chances in 2021.

He may not be the type of guy they want playing in-line for their power running game led by Derrick Henry, but Engram could certainly give the Titans a boost as a receiving threat for Ryan Tannehill from a variety of spots in the formation.
