Indianapolis Colts: 3 trades that could go down before the deadline
3. Kemoko Turay to the Atlanta Falcons
Another former second-round draft pick could be on the trade block for the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the 2021 NFL trade deadline.
Kemoko Turay was the 52nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and unlike Ben Banogu, Turay has actually played a decent amount of snaps this season for the Colts’ defense.
He’s actually on pace to play more snaps this season than either of the previous two seasons when he played just 95 and 81 snaps.
Given Turay’s current involvement in the Colts’ defense, seeing him traded away might be a bit more surprising than Banogu, but again, this team made some investments toward the future when they drafted Kwity Paye and Dayo Odeyingbo.
The Atlanta Falcons are another team, like the Colts, that has been steadily on the rise in recent weeks and could make some moves to legitimize their 2021 playoff chances.
Although Turay would be more of a dart throw than a needle-moving trade, this is a Falcons team that has not been consistently producing sacks or QB hits off the edge.
A player like Turay, although certainly not a guaranteed upgrade, could be a nice boost for Atlanta down the stretch.
