2022 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 19-20
19. Minnesota Vikings: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
The Minnesota Vikings need to get some answers at the cornerback position, and they need them soon.
Veterans Patrick Peterson, Bashaud Breeland, and Mackensie Alexander have been playing the majority of the Vikings’ snaps at cornerback this season, and their recent high-round investments at the position simply have not worked out.
Ahmad Gardner has been one of the more dominant corners in all of college football on one of the country’s most dominant defensive units.
He would give the Vikings a playmaker with size to build around at outside corner.
20. Cleveland Browns: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
After the 2021 season, we could see the Cleveland Browns move on from both Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr.
Even if they keep one of those two guys, the Browns still need a bit of a reset at the wide receiver position.
They might have some pieces, but if they move on from Beckham, a player like Chris Olave would be a great fit.
Olave is a tremendous route runner, he’s a big-play threat, and he has outstanding hands.
