2022 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 23-24
23. New Orleans Saints: Adam Anderson, EDGE, Georgia
At the age of 32, linebacker Demario Davis has been a one-man wrecking crew for the New Orleans Saints defense.
He has three sacks, eight tackles for loss, and six QB hits on top of his 48 total tackles this season.
As good as Davis has been this season, the Saints need some more production off the edge.
Adam Anderson may not have great size, but he’s got speed for days off the edge and he’s proven to be a major difference-maker on a very talented Georgia defense this season.
His own coach at Georgia, Kirby Smart, has compared Anderson to Leonard Floyd.
24. Dallas Cowboys: Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia
After his teammate, Adam Anderson, went just one pick earlier, the Georgia Bulldogs’ defense has another stud member of its elite defensive unit off the board to Dallas at pick 24.
Jordan Davis is more than just a gap-clogger on the interior defensive line. He entered this season as a possible day two or three pick and has been all effort every single snap.
His stock has gone up in a big way, and as improved as the Dallas defense has already been in 2021, imagine how much better they could be with a player like Davis added into the mix next season.
There are a number of Georgia and college football fans and pundits calling for Davis to be considered for this year’s Heisman with the impact he’s been having on games.
His stock is way up.
