2022 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 15-16

15. New York Giants: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

Pick Analysis. C. Iowa. Tyler Linderbaum. 15. player. 31. Scouting Report

The New York Giants need to do some revamping on the offensive line, although some positive news in 2021 — Andrew Thomas looks vastly improved.

Nailing down that left tackle spot is critical for the Giants, who still have question marks at the right tackle spot, but perhaps Isaiah Wilson can realize his potential there.

The interior offensive line positions also need attention for the Giants, and Tyler Linderbaum could be the best interior offensive lineman in this entire class.

The NFL has been drooling over the chance to get this kid since he was a redshirt freshman for the Hawkeyes, and he’s just gotten better every year since.

16. Kansas City Chiefs: Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC

Pick Analysis. 16. player. 124. Scouting Report. EDGE. USC. Drake Jackson

The Kansas City Chiefs have apparently been shopping for some help off the edge near the 2021 NFL trade deadline.

Chris Jones has even made himself available to play off the edge for this team.

Needless to say, reinforcements are needed.

Luckily for the Chiefs, Drake Jackson is still available here and the Trojans star pass rusher would be a big-time weapon for Kansas City.

As a matter of fact, they would probably take him right now if they could. The Chiefs’ defense has them sitting on the outside looking in of the playoffs right now.

Jackson already has an impressive array of pass rush moves and both speed and length off the edge. He would be a big-time pickup at this point of round one and might price himself well out of this range with his pre-draft metrics.
