FanDuel DFS NFL Week 8 picks and lineup advice: Tight End

This is probably the weakest you will ever see at the tight end position, with Kelce, Andrews, and Waller all unavailable. I am personally choosing to completely punt the position everywhere instead of paying up for a guy like Kyle Pitts ($6800).

Tyler Higbee ($5300) is the play for me this week, and I have a hard time putting anyone besides him in at the tight end slot. Ricky Seals-Jones ($5400) is not a bad punt play either as long as Logan Thomas is out, as he has seen solid volume in his absence.

After two monster games to start the year, T.J Hockenson ($6200) has been mostly a disappointment. However, he is still the team’s leading receiver and gets a soft matchup against a bad Philadelphia secondary, so if you are going to pay up for any tight end, let it be Hockenson.

FanDuel DFS NFL Week 8 picks and lineup advice: D/ST

Obviously, the Los Angeles Rams ($5000) and the Cincinnati Bengals ($4900) are the safest plays on the slate, but there is not much fun in that.

The Chicago Bears ($3700) are easily the best value on the slate in a game that has an over-under below 40. Even though they will be without Khalil Mack, the 49ers offense has not done much to prove they can blow a team out, and Jimmy Garoppolo has proven himself to be turnover prone.

However, if you have the extra cash, the Cleveland Browns ($4000) are my favorite play on the slate. They have been a solid defense all year long and get to face an anemic Steelers offense that has not put up more than 27 points all year. At only $4000, lock them into your lineup and expect double-digit points.

FanDuel Week 8 DFS Lineup

  • QB Josh Allen – $8800
  • RB Darrell Henderson Jr. – $7700
  • RB Kenneth Gainwell – $5900
  • WR Cooper Kupp – $9200
  • WR Stefon Diggs – $7300
  • WR Jamal Agnew – $5300
  • TE Tyler Higbee – $5300
  • FLEX Tee Higgins – $6300
  • D/ST Chicago Bears – $3700

This lineup obviously utilizes a Bills stack, but it is actually more suited for a cash lineup since beyond that there is not much correlation. If you wanted to customize it into a tournament lineup I would probably add a Dolphins pass-catcher or another Bills offensive piece.

There are also plenty of safe options with Henderson, Higgins, and Kupp all being some of the most solid players at their respective positions. Regardless of your eventual FanDuel DFS lineups, best of luck this week and go make some money!
