NFL: Ranking every quarterback midseason: 15. Carson Wentz – Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts paid a surprising price to add Carson Wentz to the roster. They gave the Philadelphia Eagles a likely first-round pick for a guy who was once in MVP discussions. Now, he’s a very controversial thrower. Some people say he’s looked good this season. Others have panned his inability to make huge plays. He seems like the perfect QB to put in the last spot of the top 15.

Carson Wentz has one interception this season. One! Is anyone talking about this? He’s been phenomenal at making sure the Colts aren’t giving the other team’s offense some decent field position. He has been very good in the month of October, throwing for two touchdowns in four straight games.

Wentz is getting better play out of Michael Pittman, and he’s eventually going to get a fully healthy TY Hilton back. Jonathan Taylor makes his job a lot easier, This offense as a whole is a lot better. The Colts are sneaky contenders in the AFC. Wentz is a huge part of that. He came into the Colts locker room with a lot of baggage, and his dual ankle injury brought a lot of laughs, but Wentz has been certified good this season.

He needs to take more chances and complete them in order to move up on this list. Playing it safe will only get him so far.
