The Green Bay Packers take the top spot in our 2021 NFL Power Rankings while the Cleveland Browns fall due to a recent tailspin they find themselves in

Another week in the book and we have another 2021 NFL Power Rankings to sort out.

The majority of the games in Week 8 were played on Halloween day but the week started out with two powerhouses as the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals met on Thursday Night Football.

Green Bay made a huge statement that day with a win, and then Aaron Rodgers also won the weekend with his John Wick costume.

Not everyone had a great week as the Bucs lost to a backup quarterback and the Cleveland Browns went into full-blown meltdown mode.

2021 NFL Power Rankings Week 9: Packers take top spot, Browns in a tailspin

Here we look over all the action and sort out the Week 9 edition of the 2021 NFL Power Rankings.

. Previous: 32nd. Detroit Lions. 32. team. 50.

Once again, the Detroit Lions suffered a loss over the weekend and this time, it was really bad. They were never in the game at all, and what’s worse is they weren’t playing an NFL powerhouse.

Instead, it was the Philadelphia Eagles who came into the weekend with a 2-5 record and the Lions were blown out of the building. They were never close but a 21-point third quarter from Philly really stood out in the loss.

It’s hard to even see where they will find a win this season.

. Previous: 31st. Houston Texans. 31. team. 10.

Things just keep getting worse for the Houston Texans. They fell to 1-7 on Sunday and while no one thought they were going to beat the Los Angeles Rams, their inability to muster up any kind of offense was especially concerning.

Throw in the fact that Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp were playing catch and no one could takcle Darrell Henderson and it looks even worse.

59. . . Previous: 29th. Miami Dolphins. 30. team

They won 10 games in 2020 but would have to win out this season to get back to that number. The Miami Dolphins have been awful this year with a record of 1-7 after their latest loss to the Buffalo Bills.

This will surely continue to add fuel to the speculation that they could be going after Deshaun Watson as the offense just doesn’t seem impressive under Tua Tagovailoa. Then again, the defense is a major issue too so it’s not as if getting more dynamic under center would fix everything.

52. . . Previous: 28th. Jacksonville Jaguars. 29. team

It’s becoming redundant at this point to pick on Urban Meyer. But that won’t stop us.

All week, the Halloween costumes were seen all over social media as fans were re-enacting the Urban incident in Ohio when he ditched his Jacksonville Jaguars players to dance with a girl he pretended he didn’t know even through the internet proved otherwise.

As funny as that was, their play on Sunday was not. This team is bad and they just fell to 1-6 after being smoked by a team led by Geno Smith. Yuck.
