On Sunday Night Football, the Minnesota Vikings stumbled and fell to 3-4 on the season as they lost to the Dallas Cowboys. Normally, this wouldn’t be a huge negative on a team but they weren’t facing the normal Cowboys — they were facing a Dallas team without Dak Prescott.

Minnesota was unable to win despite this as Cooper Rush had 325 yards on the night including a game-winning touchdown. Not a fun night to be the Vikings.

Plays on Monday Night Football vs. New York Giants

Before the season, Patrick Mahomes was talking about the Kansas City Chiefs aiming for 20-0. At Week 8, they’re talking about why everything feels so difficult this season.

Kansas City is set to play the New York Giants on Monday Night Football with a record of just 3-4. For some reference, they’re only one game better than the 2-5 Giants who have been bad for several years now.

Mahomes and the offense have still shown some explosiveness but their defense is a mess. Perhaps they can get back on track with a game against New York. Or maybe, they’ll just completely fall apart.

In an odd twist of fate, the New England Patriots can’t play at home but they can’t lose on the road. They’re now 3-0 on the road and this time, they knocked off the Los Angeles Chargers.

Mac Jones continues to do just enough to keep his team in the games and this time, they pulled off a 27-24 win to get to 4-4. They’re still way behind the Bills in the AFC East but a Wild Card spot isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

There was a time when the Los Angeles Chargers looked to be one of the best in the AFC but that feels like an eternity ago now. Los Angeles continues to play up and down football and now, they lost to the New England Patriots on a day when Mac Jones outplayed Justin Herbert.

They have the talent to go toe-to-toe with anyone but their consistency — or lack thereof — is holding them back.
