8. team. 28. . . Previous: 8th. Las Vegas Raiders

Players for the Las Vegas Raiders deserve a ton of credit for not letting outside distractions keep them from playing well this season. Even with Jon Gruden’s issues, and subsequent removal, the Raiders are still 5-2 and on top of the AFC West.

Now, they have a week off before taking on the Giants and Chiefs in Week 9 and Week 10. They could really assert their dominance by taking each of those games

16. . . Previous: 7th. Buffalo Bills. 7. team

A slow start for the Buffalo Bills was put to rest when they scored 16 in the final quarter this weekend. In the end, they moved to 5-2 as they knocked off the Miami Dolphins.

It wasn’t a pretty win but sometimes in the NFL, you have to find a way to win in the games where you don’t do everything right. Buffalo did that and continues to sit atop the AFC East.

35. . . Previous: 6th. Tennessee Titans. 6. team

It wasn’t pretty, but they got it done. The Tennessee Titans were in a slugfest this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts and found a way to win in overtime.

A pick-six from Elijah Molden gave them a lead in the fourth and another pick from Kevin Byard set them up for the winning kick in overtime. Now at 6-2, they’re starting to run away with the porous AFC South.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 5. team. 48. . . Previous: 2nd

Tom Brady threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on Trevor Siemian and the New Orleans Saints. That should mean they won, right?

Well, that’s not what happened. With Jameis Winston going down with a leg injury, Siemian came in and kept the chains moving and the Bucs turned it over too many times ‚— including an unceremonious pick-six from Brady with a chance to win it in the end.

Tampa Bay is still one of the best teams in the NFL, and this game should serve as a wake-up call more than a concern.
