The Chicago Bears dropped their third straight game in Week 8. They fell to the San Francisco 49ers 33-22.

The Chicago Bears continue in their spiral. They lost to the San Francisco 49ers 33-22. It was their third straight loss and drops their season record to 3-5.

Chicago is unable to get a complete game. For most of the season, the offense has struggled, wasting some great defensive efforts. This time, while the offense wasn’t perfect, it was competent. It was the defense that was a letdown in the game.

San Francisco depended on the big play to come away with the victory. The Bears were missing linebacker Khalil Mack and losing safety Eddie Jackson after two plays, Also, Akiem Hicks was playing in his first game after missing last week due to a groin injury. Linebacker Robert Quinn also returned after missing last week due to testing positive for COVID.

The Niners seemed to just complete big plays at will. Without putting any pressure on the quarterback, the Bears’ secondary was outed. We always thought the secondary was a problem and that’s exactly what happened when the pass rush didn’t cover the deficiency.

The Bears were without head coach Matt Nagy, who also tested positive for COVID. He wasn’t in the game and suddenly the offense looked like a decent one. It was far from perfect, but the unit scored the second-most points of the season. The running game again did well. This time, the passing game complemented it.

The result was still the same. Another loss for Chicago. In their rough five-game stretch, they won their first one against the Las Vegas Raiders. However, they lost against the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the 49ers.

Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Chicago Bears Week 8 loss.
