Denver Broncos: More big moves to make after Von Miller blockbuster

4. Teddy Bridgewater to the New Orleans Saints

Through his first eight starts with the team, the Denver Broncos are 8-8. Teddy Bridgewater has been a combination of extremely efficient and maddeningly terrible for the Denver Broncos, but in the month of October, it was much more of the latter than the former.

The Broncos had what head coach Vic Fangio called a “close” quarterback battle all throughout training camp and the preseason.

If that’s the case, the Broncos should put their money where their mouth is.

The team really like Brett Rypien as a backup option, and if Drew Lock was close enough to almost beat Teddy Bridgewater for the starting position, the Broncos should let Lock finish out the season and send Bridgewater to the New Orleans Saints, who just lost Jameis Winston to a season-ending injury.

How confident are the Saints in Trevor Siemian as the team’s primary starter over the course of the rest of the 2021 season?

The Broncos picked Bridgewater as the starter at the beginning of the season, but if they’re in any sort of evaluation mode, the team needs to move on and get Lock as many reps as possible before the 2022 offseason.
