FanDuel DFS NFL Week 9 picks and lineup advice: Running Back

Without Derrick Henry or Christian McCaffrey, there really is no clear number one running back on the slate. Alvin Kamara ($9400) should be the majority of the Saints’ offense against a terrible Falcons defense, though we have seen his stats take a dive with Taysom Hill as the starter.

Austin Ekeler ($9000) has also continued to get it done on the ground and through the air despite the Chargers’ offense slumping a bit.

However, my favorite top-tier running back is Dalvin Cook ($8800) is far too cheap for his talent and I think this is a great buy-low spot against a Ravens defense that is extremely overrated this year. I would recommend trying to get at least one of these running backs into your cash lineup this week.

Aaron Jones ($8500) and A.J Dillon ($5200) are both great values as players that should combine for a majority of the Packer’s offense against a league-worst Chiefs defense. With Dillon coming off a week in which he saw 16 rushing attempts and Jones always being a threat in the passing game, both of these guys are solid values at their price points.

On the other side of the ball, Darrell Williams ($6700) is way too cheap for being the starting running back on the Chiefs. Even though Derrick Gore ($5400) stole the show last week, Williams was still the more involved back, especially in the passing game.

Finally, Devontae Booker ($6300) should see 20 plus touches if Saquon Barkley remains sidelined and has looked more than competent during his time in the backfield.

Additionally, there is no reason Chase Edmonds ($5900) should be as cheap as he is with Kyler Murray highly questionable. If Murray is to miss or plays on an injured ankle Edmonds should be one of the main beneficiaries.
