Dallas Cowboys dud: Dak Prescott

Last week, Dak Prescott sat out as Cooper Rush led Dallas to a win over the Minnesota Vikings. With them flying high following such a win, it was expected that they would continue to roll against a struggling Denver team at home — especially with Prescott back.

That’s not how it went down as Prescott was off-target all night. His throws were high throughout the game and he missed a couple of wide-open receivers, including CeeDee Lamb on a fourth-down play which would have been a 60-yard touchdown.

Receivers began dropping the ball once he did start hitting them but by then, they could have been out of rhythm and the momentum was all in Denver’s corner. Dak has been elite this season and this should end up being a blip on the radar, but it was an ugly blip.

Dallas Cowboys stud: Malik Turner

The Cowboys probably should have taken Dak Prescott out late to make sure he stayed healthy but they elected to keep him in to avoid a shutout and see if he could find something to build on. They did, however, sit some of the receivers which allowed Malik Turner to get in on the action.

Turner ended up with 33 yards on five receptions and scored the only two touchdowns of the game. If that wasn’t enough, he even had a blocked punt in the third quarter, although that ended in disaster when it was touched by Nahshon Wright.
