Quarterly MVP Rankings: 9. Joe Burrow +1600

There were absolutely no indications that Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals were going to be this good this soon.

Overall, the Bengals weren’t a very good team last year but to be fair, they had a number of close losses. Still, with numerous reports surfacing that Burrow was struggling to find his form following his ACL injury, fans sat back and prepared for a down year.

Week after week, Burrow and company have looked terrific. Presently, the Bengals have the second-best record in the AFC North. And, they gave the Baltimore Ravens, the team currently ahead of them in the standings, a one-sided beatdown.

Burrow has been putting up some great numbers. He’s thrown for 2,215 yards, sixth in the league, and 20 touchdowns to go along with nine interceptions. If Burrow came into the year healthy, most were confident that he would put some monster stats. But, the thought of being named league MVP was laughable thanks to the Bengals on the verge of winning no more than three games. Now, with the Bengals looking like a 10-11 win team, maybe Burrow can win the MVP.
