Quarterly MVP Rankings: 16. Kirk Cousins +12500

It’s pretty fun to make fun of Kirk Cousins isn’t it? Over the years, he’s been the poster boy for quarterbacks with empty stats. Season after season, Cousins has been putting up the sort of stats that makes him one of the best in the league. Or at least it should.

In five of the past six seasons, Cousins has thrown for at least 4,000 yards. Only twice during that stretch, has Cousins led his squad to the playoffs. At his current pace, Cousins is going to smash through the 4,000 passing yards mark but at 3-4, the Minnesota Vikings are on their way to watching the playoffs from the comforts of their couches at home.

In our opinion, Cousins is going to have the numbers that scream to his MVP case but when it’s all said and done, the Vikings will languish beneath the .500 mark for most of the year.
