Quarterly MVP Rankings: 4. Dak Prescott +650

It’s been a long time since anyone outside of Dallas has said this. A few decades in fact but…

The Dallas Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders.

At 6-1, no one believed they’d be sitting here right now with that sort of record. They aren’t just beating up on hapless teams either. The Cowboys have victories over the Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, and Minnesota Vikings.

Unsurprisingly, quarterback Dak Prescott is a huge reason why. But, he’s fighting an uphill battle. Currently, Prescott is dealing with a few injury issues. The latest kept him out of the Cowboys win over a very solid Minnesota Vikings team. Should he continue to miss more games and they continue to win, just how valuable is Prescott then?

We know that he’s the engine that makes the ship go but he has to be on the field and rack up the numbers if he wants any chance at bringing home the MVP award. His number so far are pretty good, he’s a shade over 1,800 passing yards and he leads the entire NFL in completion percentage at 73.1%. Bettors should monitor his injury situation before throwing any money on him to take home the award.
