NFL: Top 25 boldest predictions for the rest of the season: 5. Tom Brady breaks passing yards record

Tom Brady is 44 years old. Something Peyton Manning said stands out. When he broke the touchdown record when he was playing for the Denver Broncos, he said he expected Tom Brady to come back and take the record back. That was eight years ago. It looks like Brady might have waited until the last possible moment to get a chance at that record. He has 25 touchdowns over eight games. He’s on pace for 53 touchdowns this season, and if he was really close to the record, he would find a way to get three more.

However, this isn’t the record that Tom Brady is going to break this year. He’s actually going to break the passing yards record.

He has 2,650 yards on the season. It’s another Peyton Manning record. He threw for 5,477 yards in 2013. Drew Brees threw for one less yard in 2011. So, Tom Brady is actually third on the list for most passing yards in a season. That won’t do. He is going to put up some incredible yards this season. Sure, the Bucs will try to get Leonard Fournette more involved in the offense, but that won’t stop Brady from getting a ridiculous amount of yards.

Brady is on pace for 5,630 yards this season. That would destroy the record. Don’t expect much of a drop in production from Brady as the Bucs looks to repeat as Super Bowl champ.
