NFL: Top 25 boldest predictions for the rest of the season: 1. Lamar Jackson wins MVP

But Burrow will not win the MVP. That is going to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Raves QB has had a phenomenal season, and he’s not going to slow down in the second half. Think about how Jackson’s season started. He lost his starting running back, his second string running back, and his third string running back in the matter of two weeks. This is a Greg Roman offense that lives off a dynamic running game. Right now, their leading rushers are Latavius Murray, Ty’Son Williams, Devonta Freeman, and Le’Veon Bell.

That’s an awesome group of 2016 running backs, but in 2021, it’s not great. Despite this, the Ravens have a top-ten scoring offense. The Ravens are scoring 26.7 points per game. It’s not even like they are putting up huge points against bad teams. Their worst game of the season came against the Detroit Lions.

The Ravens are 6-2 and are leading the AFC North. They have some high profile matchups with the Rams, Steelers, Packers, and Bengals, which means there will be plenty of eyes on Jackson for the rest of the season. This will keep Jackson in the conversation for the rest of the season, and it’s going to lead to enough voters putting him at the top of their list.

There is no true front runner this year. Kyler Murray is probably the leader in the clubhouse, but he’s now dealing with an ankle injury. Henry was a fun darkhorse candidate, but he’s out for the rest of the season. Aaron Rodgers will never win it after lying to the media. Matt Stafford might lose some votes to Cooper Kupp. That really leaves Jackson as the best candidate. He is going to take home his second MVP award, and then he’ll lose in the first round of the playoffs again.
