NFL: Top 25 boldest predictions for the rest of the season: 22. Los Angeles Chargers Win AFC West

If the Kansas City Chiefs do fall below .500, then someone has to win the AFC West. The leader in the clubhouse right now is the Las Vegas Raiders. However, they have dealt with more negative headlines than most teams ever. There have been some insane storylines in NFL history, but dealing with your head coach getting ousted because of unacceptable emails being released and then your star receiver getting arrested then cut for allegedly hitting a woman’s car and killing her while driving drunk is a lot for one team to handle.

The Los Angeles Chargers are not a popular bet right now with their pretty decisive loss to the New England Patriots. Justin Herbert looked bad, and the team was not able to make a comeback. However, they are still 4-3 and just one game behind the Raiders.

Looking at the Chargers schedule for the rest of the season, it’s not very hard. They do have one more matchup with the Chiefs and one with the Raiders, but outside that their hardest game is against the Cincinnati Bengals. That’s the team that just lost to the Jets. The Chargers schedule is really giving them the keys to winning this division.

Herbert has to bounce back from his performance, but there were times he looked like an MVP early this season. The Chargers are the same team that beat the Browns and Chiefs already this season. Back-to-back games against the Patriots and Ravens haven’t done much for the ole confidence level, but things get easier soon.
