10. . . Previous: 31st. Houston Texans. 31. team

Tyrod Taylor was back in at quarterback for the Houston Texans which gave them some hope heading into their Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins. With Tua Tagovailoa out due to an injury and Jacoby Brissett starting against them, the hope was even stronger.

But then the game started and the Texans were a mess. Taylor had three picks and had to air it out 43 times in the game — which is never a recipe for success with him as the starter (no offense, of course).

On defense, they weren’t terrible. They ended up with a couple of interceptions of their own and even held Myles Gaskin to just 34 yards on 20 rushing attempts. However, they gave up a touchdown pass from Brissett to Mack Hollins and Gaskin ran one in as well for a 17-9 win.

Now at 1-8 (and 0-5 on the road), the Texans are surely looking ahead to the coming offseason. They have a pretty rough roster and it’s going to be hard to get things turned around, which is why it would have made sense to take what they could for Deshaun Watson and try to reload things. Instead, they waited and the price isn’t likely to go up after a full season of him sitting at home.
