The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bye week didn’t start until Week 8 but they seemed to check out the week prior while playing the New Orleans Saints. Despite New Orleans losing quarterback Jameis Winston to a season-ending injury, the Saints scored 36 points against the Bucs.

Trevor Siemian was solid with 159 yards but it was the defense that really hurt Tampa Bay. Tom Brady threw two interceptions, including one with a chance to go in for the win late — and that one was taken to the house for six.

As fate would have it, Brady and the Bucs now have to go into this week with nothing to do but prepare for the following week — and stew over the fact that they lost to a backup and opened the door for the Saints in the NFC South.

Having said all of that, there’s no reason to panic. Brady has been here before and the Bucs are champions for a reason. And not only are they champs, but they have pretty much everyone from the title run in the building, meaning they know not to freak out over one loss. The end goal is much bigger than that.

This week will be all about getting the little things figured out so they can be better in Week 10 and beyond.
