Plays on Monday Night Football vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

For a brief moment this season, the Chicago Bears looked like they could be a good team. They somehow beat the Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders — while also scoring an easy win over the hapless Detroit Lions — which had them sitting at 3-2.

Then, the bottom dropped out.

Chicago has lost three in a row with some ugly defeats including a 38-3 beatdown by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a couple of weeks ago. Their last contest was against the San Francisco 49ers, who aren’t exactly world-beaters, but even that one ended in an 11-point loss with the Niners dropping 33 on Chicago.

Now as they enter Week 9, they have a couple of tough games against AFC North rivals. The first comes on Monday Night Football as they take on the surging Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ve been in the exact opposite boat as the Bears, winning their past three games and turning a slow start around.

After this game, Chicago will host the Baltimore Ravens before a date with the Lions again. Before that Detroit game, they have to hope to find a way to win against one of these superior teams in the next two weeks. If not, things can get really hot for head coach Matt Nagy who is already feeling his seat warm up.
