2022 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks go No. 2 and 3 in Week 10 mock

7. New York Giants: George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue
At 6-foot-4 and 275-pounds, Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis already boasts NFL size and is still incredibly young. He’s been solid both in run defense as well as rushing the passer during his career with the Boilermakers — even with his sack numbers going down in 2021.
He’s been climbing up boards as of late and will only continue to do so once he hits the Combine and shows off his strength. In this mock, he lands with the New York Giants who aim to bolster the edge of their defensive line.
8. Philadelphia Eagles: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
Back on the clock for their second pick — which is their own selection in 2022 — the Philadelphia Eagles again look to add some defensive help. Their choice is Aidan Hutchinson from Michigan who nearly went into the 2021 NFL Draft but then elected to return for one more season.
In doing so, he was able to show off how complete he is as a player and that helps him jump into the top-10. Philadelphia can stand to get some youth on their defensive line and Hutchinson offers them a player who can jump in and contribute from the start.
