2022 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks go No. 2 and 3 in Week 10 mock
By Randy Gurzi
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State
The Cincinnati Bengals have started to fall off a little from their hot start and a loss to the Browns put them at the bottom of the AFC North even though they were just the No. 1 seed in the entire AFC just a couple of weeks prior.
Even with the losses over the last two weeks, this is still a team that has done a great job building their offensive roster in the past couple of seasons. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are an elite combination and Joe Mixon can take over on the ground.
With this pick, they continue to add players to that side as they take Ikem Ekwonu from North Carolina State. The bug offensive tackle should help Burrow take his next step as a player – and maybe silence some of those who still think they should have taken Penei Sewell.
18. Kansas City Chiefs: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
The Kansas City Chiefs missed out on the Odell Beckham sweepstakes, or was it the race to pay him as little as possible for the remainder of the season?
Either way, they knew their offense needed a spark, and someone such as OBJ could have provided that. Perhaps they will be interested in signing him in the offseason but they could also elect to go with rookie and in this mock, Garrett Wilson is still there for the taking, and they’re happy to add him.
